Out of Hours Service

When We Are Closed

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call the Out of Hours Service on telephone number 111. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Extended Hours

GP and nurse practitioner appointments are now available during the evenings and at the weekend.

This practice is working with others in the Clacton GP Alliance to deliver Extended Opening Hours. In order to deliver this service you may be offered an appointment at the Minor Illness Hub.

For the clinician seeing you at that appointment to effectively treat you they will need access to your summary care record, you will be asked for your permission at the time of booking your appointment. For further details on Extended Access please ask at Reception.

Appointments are bookable through the surgery during normal opening times or by calling 111 at the weekend. This is not a walk-in service.

• Thursday: 18:30-20:00
• Friday: 18:30-20:00
• Saturday: 08:00-18:30
• Sunday: 08:00-18:30
